Another Day... Oops! I used that one already!
The night before last was productive in one way or another. I'd just finished my Aqua pages for BookArtz's 2007 Monthly Page Swap, True Colors (on the left). I thought I was on a roll but I just couldn't make my idea for blue and ochre pages work so I could swap for others' left-over January pages (which I'd missed). I think it will be nice to have all the pages in my book. So I put it aside and went to work on playing with the Color Mist paints I'd bought from Outside the Margins several months ago.
They'd been taunting me from their plastic box on the supply
shelf and I'd had enough of that! Putting down some newsprint and pulling on some rubber gloves, I was prepared for a fun time to take my mind off the recent failure of blue and ochre to 'gel' for me.
I spread out some deli wrap and sprayed on colors. I was not impressed.
But other people had great results with these paints, so I pressed on and kept spraying. I remembered seeing that others had crumpled the deli wrap, so I balled it up in my latexed hand and dipped it into pools of darker colors, opened that out and had a look. I spread the extra color around a bit with my fingertip. Not bad! I tried wildly contrasting colors and was initially unimpressed though ultimately I ended up with really great results.
