The Dog Daze...

OK, it's officially the last day of the dog daze of the 2006 holiday season. What a truly lovely three day weekend it has been. We went to TWO MINI Cooper events on Saturday - a Starbucks meetup followed by some parade laps at the SCCA event at PIR and then a later meetup with friends from the DMC (Dynamic Mini Collective) to run up to the top of South Mountain and then to Chino Bandito (yes, a mix of Chinese and Mexican food! how yummy can it get?!?) and one on Sunday to the DMC's second Sunday ice cream meetup, taking our boyz with us. We had to sit outside but that was okay. It was 31 degrees but I had a Golden Retriever sitting on my foot. Who can complain? There were two other dogs there, including Patty's darling little 3 month old fuzzy puppy. I cna't remember what breed she is but I don't think she's a Shi Tzu. (Did I spell that right? I don't think so!) Jim's dog, Wolfie, was wagging his tail while attacking the big dogs. He's very sweet with people but has no idea how to be social with dogs. Like a dog engineer or something.
I've been busy creating stuff for several days now and it feels GOOD! Here's a photo of the boyz sleeping on the floor next to me while I work on a project.

Here are a few pics of what I've been working on too. I bought some bracelet kits from Belinda, the crazyartgirl and list mom of arttechniques, a Yahoo group I recently joined. Here are two of the bracelets I've made from her kits with some charms I made myself added. This can certainly be addictive.

I bought some turquoise unprinted bottle caps from Outside the Margins, added this pink and white letter a sticker, bent the edges in, flattened them with the tiny bench vise Dan gave me for Christmas, and then covered it with Diamond Glaze. I think I'll need to start buying jump rings by the gross! Actually, I need to buy a box of packages of a gross. They do come in 144 pieces to a little baggie.

The great news is that there is a new Hobby Lobby nearby! Yea!!! I can't wait to go see if it's as cool as I remember them being when I was in Denver. I could go tonight. They don't close for two more hours. We were going to go to Costco but Dan suddenly lost the lunch he ate five hours ago, so we're waiting to see what is up with that?

OK, for some reason, Blogger doesn't want me to be able to edit my HTML. I guess that means I'm done for now and will show pics of the new books I just made later!
