Where I've Been...

Hiding inside a spreadsheet, that's where! I'm busy working, down to crunch time on a project. I've barely gotten a single creative thing done, only going there when I need a mental vacation.

Here are some pics of the other things I got done the other night, however. Don't accuse me of slacking off on your entertainment! For instance, above you'll see three pages that may look alike. Look again, mon chere! All original pages for the BookArtz 2007 January Monthly Page Swap in Blue and Ochre. I missed the deadline but made a few to trade with those who had leftovers.

And here, we have my sketchbook notes and a preliminary sketch for my March pages - Forest Floor. I think I'll be doing those on BFK Rives for the creamy color and ability to take watercolor for the Twinkling H2Os I'll be using as well as its ability to hold a bit of weight since I bought some cool beaded trim to use. The little mess in the upper right needs to be fixed colorwise as does the overstamping in the lower right.

Overstamping the brown which just didn't look right with the green evergreen bough was a happy accident. I may use the same little bird on a branch that I used in the blue and ochre pages above.

OK, back to the spreadsheets and profit and loss statements! I'll be glad to get them done and back onto the narrative and presentation. But the damned spreadsheets just never really end! If only you could run - or start! - a business without them. *sigh*

See you the next time I come up for air!
