And speaking of recent work, here's the start of my Goddess Chunky Pages for the swap in the
abc_decos Yahoo group. The first on the left is the background paint scraping. The second has some glare but shows the color truly on my monitor at least. The third shows the actual detail better. I think it needs something else, like maybe more dimension and more color. What do you think? Maybe some fibers? Comments are welcome and appreciated, my lovelies.
And speaking of appreciation, my dear pal, Ollie, has been clamoring for a photo of some knitting here, particularly the socks I have OTN, Koigu KPPPM on size 2.50mm Ebony German 4" DPNs. I found the pattern on the 365 Day Knitting Calendar which one of my dear Diva Girls gave me for Christmas one year. (It was a crazy flurry of ripped paper flying around the shop and presents being oohed and ahhed over. Who can recall? But I think it was Maggs who donated them to everyone's cause.) I had to adapt it to work in the round, then adapted the number of stitches to fit the pattern. I worked these toe up as always, using my own method, with a gusset and short row heel. One of these days (read "in the next pair I knit!"), I'll manage to do the Eye of Partridge heel for extra strength.
So here we have trys #1 and 2 at my March pages for BookArtz Monthly Chunky Book Page Swap. The theme for March is Forest Floor. I had all these leaf stamps, most of which were a Christmas gift from Diva Girl Vita.
The idea is something I came up with a couple of years ago when I got the idea. So does it need a painted background, the off-white background, or a different paper? One that is less white than this charcoal paper that buckles so badly perhaps?
OK, BAD BAD Blogger. Not only have you swallowed up the proper links for my archives somehow, but now you won't let me format anything. Clearly, I must work on my own template!
But when, my lovelies, when would I ever have time for that?
