People Who Don't Blog Often Enough

I should. I know I should. I even intend to and mostly think I have.

Blog often, that is.

I enjoy writing this for you, my lovelies, my readers. I really like sharing what I've been doing and thinking about in regard to art mostly, and sometimes other things. So if you check and I haven't blogged lately, just leave me a comment and I'll get right on it. OK, maybe I won't but at least it will be brought to the top of the stack of things to do! I really don't intend to go a whole five or ten days without paying attention to my lovely readers. Really, I don't!
I don't have any art to share that has been made since I last posted, but I do have some photos to share of things I've created recently that didn't get into the last post. It's the weekend, so some art will almost certainly be made!

Here's a lovely card that I made for this pretty decorated envie that Sab in Germany sent to me to get started. I used some paper torn from bigger sheets for the borders, an image from Tallulah's collage sheets, square red sequins from somewhere and the brown satin ribbon that came tied onto a grab bag pack from Hannah Grey. Yummy stuff. On the side, it says, "Emma always dreamed of becoming a Ziegfeld girl..." which was the first thing I thought of when I saw her in her bathing suit and red shoes! Do check out Tallulah's for fun stuff to use in making art. Shosh always has wonderful stuff at Hannah Grey too.

One thing that was difficult about this piece is that the cards already fit into the envelope so tightly that I cannot get the embellished piece back in because it's too thick. In fact, it was difficult to remove this envie from the mailing envelope that I had to tear to remove! And it was hard to get the blank card out of the decorated envie. :( I can't imagine what it will be like for someone in a damper climate and it's hard to imagine any place drier than Arizona! But it's beautiful.
One more piece to share is my entry in this little deco entitled "Dear Deco". It's another Tallulah's image layered with some handmade background paper and a couple of scraps of my favorite BFK Rives buff-colored paper, a few sequins, and a tiny scrap of chiffon left over from my first Lesley Riley workshop. "Dear Deco, If Mama thought that my bathing suit is fast, what ever will she say about my new shimmy dress in this yummy chiffon? Love, Isabelle"
