Back to Hell... I Mean AZ :(

As good as it is to be at home, it was 114 here yesterday and it got progressively hotter as we traveled through Grand Junction, Moab, Kayenta, Tuba City, Flagstaff, and home to Peoria, AZ from Copper Mountain, CO. I love my life and my home but I just hate summer and hot weather. As you know, my lovelies, I adore snow and we don't have ANY here in AZ. :(

Our CoopahS turned 63,000 miles on the top of Vail Pass on I-70. We heard via cell phone that one of our friends in the earlier group threw a supercharger belt and spent hours waiting for a tow truck. Wonderful friend and group leader, Scott, waited with him and gave him a lift home. They'd left at the crack of dawn, hours ahead of we who slept in, and only got to the Valley ten minutes before we hit our favorite Outback for dinner just before they closed. We hauled a$$ down I-17 from Flag, though we slowed down at the end because we were becoming tired and one of our friends was having trouble seeing in the dark, something that plagues us all. Damn these old eyes! And thank goodness that I-17 is divided so that you don't have oncoming headlights stabbing you in the eyes the whole way!
Anyhow, here is a lovely photo taken by my sweetie of the three cars in our group and the famous natural rock arch just outside of Moab, UT. There's CoopahS (a Cooper S car), Kyle's GP car, and Patty's really cool Works car, IT WORKS. They're a great group to travel with, and it's always fun to spend time with them.
